About Trek Designs

Every piece starts as an original painting in my home studio here in Washington DC. I typically work wet on wet as well as wet on dry to layer in shadows and try to capture the  beauty of day to day life. Usually I layer in inks and other mediums to further define the works, textures and details.  From there, each design is turned into prints, posters, and everyday pieces — phone cases, mugs, desk mats — so you can bring a little bit of that original artwork into your own home, however you use it.

Why it matters to me

I work in data and project management, a job that while satisfying,  often does not allow me to utilize the right side of my brain. My art helps provide an outlet from the day to day world and keep me grounded.

When you buy from Trek Designs, you’re supporting an independent artist, not a factory line. Every design comes from my own hands — no stock art, no AI generation, just over 15 years of practice and a lot of ruined watercolor paper along the way.

You're support helps me get my in home studio setup, which has been a dream come true for me for sometime. It also is a another step in the direction of helping me eventually get my own showing at a local gallery here in town.
